A Mattress Is Never Just a Mattress, Photographed by Brad Knipstein

According to the latest research, a good night’s sleep is the fountain of youth, and a mattress is not just a mattress anymore. Since people spend one-third of their lives in bed it’s no wonder that makers of furniture and home goods are getting in on the “good night sleep” action. Nowadays, you can get a high quality, technically advanced mattress at any price point, from the low $300s all the way up to six-figures.
San Francisco-based photographer Brad Knipstein, recently photographed a wonderful photo library for Wayfair’s new mattress line called NORA. You’ll be glad to know NORA is made with the highest quality technology without breaking the bank and it comes in a nice easy to set up box when you order it. Most importantly NORA promises a good night's sleep. You can return the NORA mattress if after 100 days you find yourself tossing and turning.

In this shoot, photographed on location in New Orleans, Brad used a lot of light to help bolster the brand’s modern aesthetic. “A person’s response to light in a photograph or in real-life is mostly subconscious,” says Brad. “People take for granted how light influences their perception of what they see at any given moment. For this campaign, sunlight reinforced how Wayfair wanted to position the NORA brand. We had a great crew, we worked hard and I do believe we all slept well when it was over."’
