Hoodies are the New Heels - What's Trending at Sally Reps

Ath·lei·sure:  A trend or culture that looks something like boutique studio classes meets luxurious activewear meets post-gym brunches.
The intersection of fashion and fitness has had a huge impact on our business and particularly on commercial photographers like Kevin Focht. Kevin came up in fashion photography working in Milan, London and New York before settling in Portland -- the epicenter of athletic street style. Thanks to his fashion background, Kevin's all about the lighting and he's just as comfortable with rock climbing as the runway.

To accommodate the growing demand, Kevin recently moved into a new state-of-the-art, 6,500 square foot production studio that allows him to capture fashion in motion.

"With the fitness streetwear industry booming, my clients now come from an extremely diverse playing field," says Kevin. "Our work is very physical and it has become a prerequisite to have the space and the know-how to shoot both video and stills in studio as well as on location. I can do both. This is important especially as athletic wear converges with fashion.”

You can see Kevin's work by visiting The North FaceNordstromLululemonLucy and Nike or at Sally Reps.

Absolutely! People are getting crazy over fitness. The whole world wants to get a gluten free body and look amazing in a tight legging. I have been trying to hit the gym for a very long time. Going to a gym and working out is also not a problem for me, the main thing is I don’t feel like leaving food. I am a big foodie and I definitely need to workout that much.
