Interior photographer Alex Hayden brings us the color of the week: Aqua. Color in a room can be like a great accessory.  It gives a room attitude and flair. Just a pop here and there with a light fixture, throw pillow or vase can make all the difference. And according to the color experts it's a great color for tranquility and calm--we can all use a bit of that now and then.  Aqua can be playful and sophisticated all at the same time.  Look at what a little pop of aqua in the light fixture below does to add interest to these rooms.  An aqua lamp in a brown room screams style. And, According to the color experts, Aqua helps to open the lines of communication between the heart and the spoken word (hmmm, that's a good one). In color psychology, Aqua controls and heals the emotions creating emotional balance and stability.
